Scene7 Partners with Vimation to Provide Interactive Video Solutions

Novato, CA — March 31, 2005 — Scene7®, provider of the leading automated rich media platform to grow revenues by creating visually enhanced targeted customer experiences via the web, email & print, today announced a joint sales and co-marketing partnership with Video Interactive Media firm Vimation.

Vimation, headquartered in Newport Beach, CA, has created a proprietary online solution that helps drive online sales through Video Interactive Media (VIM®). VIM enables retailers and marketers to give website visitors the ability to navigate, shop or browse by interacting directly with a self-launching, high quality video without links or buttons outside the video. The partnership with Scene7 will enable these companies to add enhanced visual capabilities such as dynamic zoom, pan, color swatching, and 360 spin to products selected directly from the video, taking a ‘passive’ video and making it truly interactive – enabling customers to act or purchase a product when they view an ad or video on the Internet. Both Scene7 and Vimation solutions integrate seamlessly with any e-commerce enabled website or marketing sites.

“We’re excited to work with Scene7 as our go-to-market partner for rich media,” said David Hemingway, CEO of Vimation. “Making Scene7’s market-leading rich media capabilities available with our interactive video solution will create an “in-store” experience online that will extend our solution and help online shoppers make an emotional connection with a product – which can help drive sales.”

VIM enables marketers to use video with their product or brand in it to be used as a sales tool online, where a website visitor can scroll over it and clickthrough to find out more information or purchase the product directly. The addition of Scene7’s dynamic imaging will enable customers to view product details, colors, and options, as well as personalized products, offers and interactive catalogs – all of which can dramatically improve the likelihood of a purchase. Companies utilizing Scene7 rich media have increased revenues and conversion rates up to 90%. In addition, the entire video and rich media experience can be dynamically personalized based on user profile and interests, time of the day and geographic region.

“Our partnership with Vimation will enable our joint customers to create next generation ecommerce solutions,” said Doug Mack, CEO of Scene7. “Vimation’s interactive video combined with Scene7 rich media will give website visitors more complete visual information and let them interact with products in a new, immersive, entertaining format.”
